FAQ about the dunning procedure

Why have I received a collection reminder or a collection letter?

If you have received a reminder or letter from us or have been contacted by us in any other way, you have an outstanding invoice with our client. We have now been instructed to send you a reminder for this liability and to collect the outstanding amount.
Please use the payment options listed in the letter for this purpose. Otherwise, please contact us immediately in writing or by telephone so that we can agree on the modalities for settling the outstanding debt. This also applies if you believe that the claim is not legitimate or that you cannot pay the invoice. If you contact us, we can jointly bring a solution that suits you and properly end the collection procedure.

How can I settle the outstanding dunning amount?

The easiest and most cost-effective way is to transfer the total outstanding amount, observing the specified payment deadline and stating the specified purpose of payment. Alternatively, you also have the option to settle the claim via PayPal. You can find an overview of our accepted payment options here. If you cannot pay the outstanding amount in full or at all, please contact us so that we can find a solution for you that is appropriate to the situation.

I have already settled my debt. What now?

Transfers are usually credited to our account within three banking days. However, errors can occur even in a fully automated banking and accounting system. Therefore, it is important that you state your file number exactly in the reason for payment, as well as the account details of the recipient, when making the transfer or payment. Only in this way can amounts be properly accounted for and allocation errors avoided. In case of doubt, you are also welcome to send us a corresponding account statement as proof of payment so that we can verify the correct receipt of payment.

Collection, how long do I have to pay the outstanding invoice?

Basically, the following applies: The agreed payment deadline must be adhered to. If this is not possible for certain reasons, we ask you to contact us immediately. Letting the deadline pass without contacting us can lead to the initiation of judicial enforcement measures. We want to avoid this together.
If necessary, there is the possibility of settling an outstanding debt at a time after the set payment deadline. We always need your file number for processing.

Do I have to pay the total amount, including collection fees?

Yes, you must pay the outstanding invoice amount in full, including reminder fees and any collection fees. As the debtor, you are legally obligated to reimburse in full the damage caused by the delay in payment. This also applies to those costs incurred by the assignment of the collection agency.

I cannot pay the total amount at once. What can I do?

If you are currently unable to pay the outstanding debt in full at once, it is generally possible to settle it in several installments. For processing, we always need the file number, which you will find in the reminder we send you.

Is a deferral possible with debt collection?

If an outstanding invoice amount cannot currently be paid due to your financial situation, a deferral is possible. Deferred payments are postponed until a fixed date by which you must pay the outstanding debt.

What to do in case of insolvency?

In case you are insolvent and cannot pay the outstanding debt, we need a copy of the insolvency opening order with your file number, which is listed in the reminder letter.

Why have I received a judicial dunning notice?

The pre-court reminder letter was not responded to in due time, and no amicable way of debt settlement was found. For this reason, our client has instructed us to apply for a court order to pay.
We, therefore, ask you to pay the outstanding amount immediately or to contact us as soon as possible so that any enforcement measures against you can be avoided.

Why have I received an enforcement notice?

We did not respond to the court order to pay by the deadline. For this reason, our client has instructed us to apply to the court for a right of execution. . If no objection is lodged within 14 days of service of the enforcement notice, it becomes legally binding. From this point on, the execution can be enforced.
